Partners

Whether they are western universities in the U.S. who welcome KI Visiting Scholars, buddhist monastic institutions in India who help recruit and send Visiting Scholars, or individuals and organizations from all over our community who co-create activities and experiences in furtherance of KI's mission, Kamalashila Initiative is honored to be in relationship and community with all of its wonderful Partners.

In the coming years, we hope to grow our partnership base in the U.S. Please reach out if you are interested in partnering with us!

In the United States...

Stateside partnerships are essential in offering KI Visiting Scholars a unique, immersive, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Our current partner in the US is the University of California, Irvine. In particular, we partner with UCI's History Department, Division of Continuing Education - International Programs, Dining & Hospitality, and Housing. KI's Visiting Scholar Program was conceived in partnership with UCI senior academic leadership in 2010 when the project was known as the UCI-Tibet Initiative. We are so grateful to UCI for its continued support and enduring partnership.

In the coming years, KI hopes to broaden its University Partnerships to include other academic communities throughout California and the broader United States.
